Behind the veil!

So, because I was curious, you guys get this too. I was interested in just how much I've been changing the chapters, because the word count doesn't accurately track the difference in what I've deleted and added. Therefore, I decided to turn on editing mode for a chapter to track the changes.

So here's a chapter from book 3 I did today. Chapter 21. :) Enjoy? Idk. I just thought it was interesting. Hope you're all having a lovely day! <3

Here's the Plan!

As a matter of accountability, here is the plan. At MDP summit this last weekend, I set goals that I am gonna do my best to keep. However, my brain is not always great at goals, so I'm making them public in the attempt to trick my brain into following them. There are two 'big' goals.

1) Finish the omni edit of Sense by June 21st. This is going to possibly be a bit tricky for me because I also have to move by June 18th and I don't have that settled, trying to find a third rommate, etc, so I'm stressed.

2) Write and publish Domain...

So. I've been quiet for a while, I know. I'm sorry. Went to the doc's and found out my levels were all sorts of screwed up, so that's a big part of why I've been feeling like crap. I'm on new meds now and we're hoping that'll fix things, so, you know. Hopefully that works.

In the meantime, I've been trying to edit Adapt, and words ARE getting added and it's getting better, but that's not really progress I can show. Trying to get through it so I can finally really start book 5. But, of course, last night I had another dream about a stor...

First off, I want to say sorry. I feel so guilty that I haven't shared anything here. The problem with editing is that it isn't new content, so while I've been writing and changing things, it's not really the stuff I share here, and that kills me a little bit.

Update on where things are!

All right guys, I know I've been quiet this month, and I'm sorry about that! I have been writing, but it's not in the form of new chapters so it's not here.

I'm doing my last run of Clover City. It's roughly 117k words, so there's 22k of new content(and more that's been fixed!) for my patrons spread out in all the chapters. <3 As I'm doing a simultaneous release on my website of ebook and audiobook, it's looking like it's going to go up in June, and then up on amazon and audible in July.

So, I get the same questions over and over, and it’s actually fairly unproductive for me to look at and answer them, because it’s just frustrating for me most of the time. So, I’m going to try and boil down the main questions I get into a few simple answers.

Happy NaNoWriMo! So far, I'm off to a good start. <3 I'm really hoping I can use this month to finish the book. I've already talked to my editor, so I'm hoping I can get this to him by December.  I'm also in talks with a new artist to try and get the cover done, since Sandara is unable to continue with this series of covers. She should still be finishing out AToP for me, so don't worry about that. :P

Ooof. Sorry, took me a while to write this one cuz I wasn't feeling great, had family in town, and then it was kinda emotionally draining to write the beginning of this because I'm still going through some stuff.  Grief is... yeah.

Hoooooooh. So you might notice some blank spaces here. I'm still trying to come up with a few location names, but I'm trying to be really careful about what I pick because these are potential future book names. So for now they've just got underscore placeholders. You're welcome to suggest names if you'd like, but I'm being super picky.

I also just...haven't gotten to half the stuff I had been doing background planning for, and it keeps changing. For the love! I have to update it before I finally show anything...again!

I had a plan for this chapter. I got through...some of it. Took a bit of a left turn I hadn't planned by the end.

Sometimes I just want to shake myself for doing all this behind the scenes work...and then realizing that before I get to it, it's going to be wrong and have changed again. Haaaaaaaaah.

I have at least been consistently hitting my minimum word counts though, so that's something. Yay for consistency!

Woooh, this chapter did not go how I thought it would AT ALL. The dice gods decided they were trickster gods today.

Anyway! I'm finally feeling mostly recovered after FanX last weekend, so yay! I spent a good five hours today trying to figure this fight out, and yeesh, it was a lot of work.

Hokay! Getting ready to go into FanX. Let me know if you'll be there! I honestly hate myself a little bit because I hadn't updated my inventory sheet in a while, and that's always a pain, especially when going through loot. And hey, I get to do more of it for next chapter, yay!

Hoooooooookay. Guys. I'm finally starting to feel normal again. Moving took its toll on me, both before and after, but my apartment is mostly livable at this point! I've still got some unpacking to do, but I'm getting to the end.

Hey guys, been a while. So you know what really sucks? Being sick on top of being perpetually ill. When I was in college, I wrote a paper called The Birthday Curse. It seems like basically every year around my birthday, I get violently ill. It's never the same illness. Just...ill.

CC Chapter 9

Whew. Idk why I was having such a hard time with this chapter. Well, mostly with the four new characters. Had to make them and stuff. And unlike most of the other characters in this novel, three of these four are HIGHLY based on real people. Granted, they're not those people, but they're alternate reality story versions of them. ^_^'

CC Chapter 8

Okay, so there was another hitch on this as I realized... I hadn't properly accounted for things in her inventory. I kinda forgot that things only stacked to 100 before they took up a new slot.  So I added about a thousand words to chapter 2 where she buys more storage space, and added a paragraph or so to chapter 7 that just denotes where she's storing things. So hey, you technically get like 4700 words tonight all told! :P

Clover City Chapter 5

Okay, so I realized something kind of important as I was working on the boxes here...and that that I had forgotten something very important in chapter 4...and I hadn't added the stats of her armlet in. So yeah. Chapter 4 underwent a few changes once I figured out was going on. It's nothing too serious, mostly just attack value changes and the severity of the wound for a second there. It should all be fixed now.

Granted, I'm going to be going back through and changing the names of the crows to whatever I decide their fancy name is goin...

Clover City Chapter 4

Oh my gosh, the math on this one. O.o I'm dying a little bit. So just...you know. Recognize that the blue text isn't gonna be there in the final version, but it was me keeping track of her experience and timers and I figured some of you might get a kick out of seeing it. But yeah. My brain feels like it's gonna sploosh because I kept having to redo maths almost every other paragraph cuz levels change.

This was not how I was expecting the fight to go. Like, I knew in my head that Ash was OP, but I didn't realize how much of a kill zone...
