Hello!

Wow! Do we have a lot to catch up on!

Last Thursday a wounded little kitty showed up on the front porch! I quickly got him to the vet for X Rays and tests and he's going to 100% recover. I've spent the last week trying to make sure he wasn't anyones missing pet, to no avail (He wasn't fixed or chipped and was in pretty rough shape). 

So after bonding with him all this last week, he has said goodbye to his balls and hello to a forever home with us! His name is now Barnabus!

Hello!!

I'm currently painting the Craft/Bird room (after which I'll be posting the embellishments episode of the ceiling medallion) and I had a fun idea for a craft along!

I was thinking it would be a blast for us all to sit down with whichever paints we like best and take a crack at painting an impressionist style version of one of our furry friends!

If you don't happen to have a furry friend you're inspired by, feel free to paint anything you like :))

I'll be using oil paints and playing with a wet on wet tech...

Ohhh do I have a fun announcement to share! I've been toiling on a plaster project upstairs the last three months and it's finally done! It's a bit complicated and a lot needs to be explained (as well as shown) and for that reason, it's being broken into three episodes that you will NOT have to wait for! :D

I'm going to release the first one on Tuesday April 30th and then within the first few days of May the final two episodes will be posted! After they're all up, I will also be uploading a public condensed&...

 Gosh, where do I begin!? I had a completely different project planned for this month, but around midway through while cleaning the house , I decided to create a coffered ceiling in the back den... which then led me down a very different rabbit hole! (and a super exciting one!)

So I think this Saturday it would be so nice to set the Skill Saw and nail guns aside and catch you up on everything while wearing pastels, drinking tea and nibbling on Easter candy! :D

Fresh strawberries (rinsed and patted dry)

Edible powder pigments in primary colors as well as black and white

Well gosh, where do I start? This has been a bizarre month so far, but it should make for a very entertaining livestream! :))

It started with Jury Duty, which led to getting Covid, which then led to me needing to film myself using a tripod for a new project... It's been an adventure!
