A lot of people have problems painting a decent red Armour and I wanted to follow a different approach the back in the days with the  Korghos Khul Video at Paintingbuddha, where I have used a black and white underpainting and continued with red glazes
The Goal was to paint a great looking character for our Army.
I went for a rather clean and polished style on this guy.

I am really very sorry that it took me so long to post anything.. As John Lennon said" Life is what happens to you while you busy making other plans" For sure it was intended to release much more content this month .. but Life has decided to throw some big challenges to myself that needed me to take care of them immediately. I dont want to brag about the challenges of the real world in here.. I know we all got something to carry around but as this here is a One-man-operation it interfered with my output and i am sorry...

Nurgle Armour

Hey Folks,
here is the next chapter of our bloater miniature from games workshops blood bowl.
I will show you two different approaches  on how to achieve different degrees of weathering on the armour parts.
I think this Video is fantastic to show that you can use very similar techniques in various scales..We will be using similar techniques than on "Hank- the anti robot squad sergeant " from Nutsplanet.

I wanted to go shiny  and only slightly rotten skin to have a nice contrast with the dull and super rusty armor parts.

Sneaky Pete - Natural OSL

Hey Folks, thanks for all the birthday wishes!
Here is the video of how to paint a natural OSL. In this Video
I work more with glazes compared to most of my miniatures, to preserve some of the luminosity of the black and white foundation.

I have also not used any white in the painting process, having Model Color Ivory as my maximum highlight color to maintain a slightly warmer ambience.

Twilight - The Crown of Eyes

Loaded Brush Bikini

Hey Folks and Friends,
here is the latest part of twilight!
In this video you can really see the various ways of how to use the infamous "loaded brush" Technique.
The loaded brush is very good for small dramatic transitions and blendings and it helps to create a different material feel.
We are trying to use that to create a somewhat iridescent, high contrast look for both her crown and also her bikini.

Twilight 02 Face and Hair

Hey Folks,
here is the second Part of our Celestial Model "Twilight".
I really wanted to go for a super smooth finish on her Face, because its really amazingly detailed and it was sometimes quite a challenge because of the distance I have to the model due to the camera position.
I wanted to pull some attention  to the face of the model by introducing a tiny touch of red and a little brighter and smaller highlights.
I hope enjoy following the process! Maybe something for a rainy summer eve

 Dear Friends and Supporters,

sorry that it has been a quite start this month..
I am fighting and influenza since two weeks
and it slowing me down like crazy.

It even sabotaged my crystalbrush entry... so i fear i wont be competing with something extravagant this year :(
