Creamfruit quality testing

" The Creamfruit is a squat, soft gourd that grows on the forest floor. Mature creamfruit grow tall buds that, when squeezed, peel themselves to reveal a soft fleshy central bloom. Casta by the campfire

Our protagonist takes a load off by a roaring fire, taking comfort in the light and the smell of hot meat long after the sun has set. Judging by the twinkling lights off in the dark forest, she's not the only creature enjoying the smell of dinner cooking.

Some curious lizards encounter their first Artifact Hunter

An early ink of Casta getting into an invasive situation while out on a quest, introducing both the kinds of shenanigans she tends to attract with her rather exposing bottoms as well as the preliminary designs for these particular heat-seeking lizard tribespeople.
This little mini-story has since gone on to inspire a large piece of writing and by extension some fan-art (sure to be showcased here later!) that properly introduces her to the audience as a key character in the world of the Shatter.

One of the earliest doodles I ever did of Casta the sellsword, seen here posing with her signature cleaver in hand. The second image features an edit with a large... something... wrapped around her leg. Is it a tail? Maybe a tentacle of some sort? Perhaps it's best left to the imagination.
