Japan also has a custom of enjoying Christmas, and there are many Christians, but it is not a vacation. Christmas is a day for children to have cake and get presents, and a day for grown-ups to spend with their loved ones. It's not a holiday, so people work until nightfall, and many people go out to eat. Strange, isn't it?
In my family, my parents used to live in New York before I was born, so we always spend the day with family and have dinner at home. I'll probably get some live lobsters and boil them again this year ππππ
