We spent 3 days in Kyoto along with Kim Dao to film some videos for the Tokyo Creative channel, but I vlogged some clips here and there of what we got up to - thought Iād put together a fast-paced montage style video of our 3 days there! Working on that now.
So at the moment Iām in Tokyo for work, and Iām staying at an AirBnb. I swung a deal with them to stay here for free for a week if I did a room tour of the place on my Instagram - but itās not turning out as plannedš The room looked so lovely in the photos on the site but when I arrived it was really dirty (I found someoneās underwear?!) BUT WAIT. The best part is thereās a floor-to-ceiling window with no curtain that gives the neighbors a clear view of you on the toilet. GREAT. Oh and when I tried to get my key from the mailbox the code didnāt work, so after trying and failing for 10 minutes to get it open I phoned the guy and he tried to explain to me how to do it. I assured him I was doing it correctly as I have a similar mailbox at home and I know how they work. Finally after 15 minutes of trying to get it open with his instructions, he goes, oh wait I think I gave you the wrong code. And he had, lol. On top of that I canāt get the front door to lock from the outside so Iām scared to leave to go grocery shopping. Why is everything going wrongš
So I messaged them and told them Iām sorry but I canāt advertise this place to my followers, and asked if I could just pay for it instead. Waiting for a reply but honestly no matter what they say I am NOT advertising this room. Youād think if anything they wouldāve put some extra care into cleaning it knowing Iād be filming??? Unfortunately itās really expensive ($180 a night) and had I known it was going to turn out like this I wouldāve just stayed at a hotel which wouldāve been more affordable.
