Another favorite Halloween movie of mine. Thanks so much for this reaction, JV! I'm personally not a fan of the new film. The way the sisters acted towards the end seemed out of character for them, but I did really like the beginning of the film.

2024-09-14 18:37:46 +0000 UTCGreat reaction as always. I think 'The Witches' might have done better on the poll if had specified which one as there's 1990 (the better one) and then 2020 one (which was ok and worth watch for Anne Hathaway at least but first one is just done better story wise)

2024-09-14 07:06:25 +0000 UTCFun facts: all of Billyโs Effects were practical, even the moth thing. And a lot of the flying was practical. They made an animatronic version of Sarah Sanderson that you can see in the film singing come little children and they just put a dark sky backdrop behind the animatronic to make it look like it was actually her flying. The black cat was the same cat as in Sabrina the teenage witch, but Kenny Ortega (the director who also directed high school musical and descendants) also used a puppet, CGI, and a still figure for the cat. The CGI that was used in this film was some early work by a little known studio at the time, you may have heard of it, Pixar. The woman who played Mary Sanderson also played the evil queen in descendants which just so happened to be another Kenny Ortega Film.
