Infinity Train S01 E03 & E04 Full Length Reaction

Oh my gosh I completely forgot about that part and now I'm feeling all the feels 😭😭😭I loved that movie as a kid (probably still would if I watched it again lol!)

Okay, I know I'm late, but it's theory time! The number—put simply in the words of the Manotaur, “*sniff sniff* I smell… emotional issues.” I totally agree with Weswyn and Malcolm that the number has to do with her emotions. Tulip is by nature very logical and cerebral, whereas the train defies all logic. It is this central conflict between Tulip and the train that is driving the story and character development. As Weswyn stated, the train is likely some giant lesson to help her deal with her suppressed emotions over her parents divorce, thus the number must be the train’s way of tracking her progress. It goes down as she shares about herself, accepts help from others, and lets go of her need for logical mastery of her environment. It even goes up a bit when she closes off in episode 2. It seems to be a device to drive home the central theme of the show so far: dealing with trauma in a healthy manner by sharing and accepting help. We even see a bit of literal symbolism surrounding this theme at the end of episode 4 with the giant crystal man: “the key is in your heart.” When the number gets to zero, I predict she will then be ready to either see the conductor, or leave the train. Moving on to the metal spider. It seems to belong to the train itself instead of any particular car—a sort of train elemental if you will. The metal spider, 1:1, and the business cat seem to be the only train elementals we’ve seen so far. The metal spider was looking for something, one of the control orbs that are the programming for the car universes, and when its mask lifts we briefly see what looks like a space for an orb. Also, it ran off when it saw 1:1… who is an orb… Coincidence? I think not. Was that his mother? Maybe? They are connected somehow, but more info is needed. Finally, a guilty pleasure song is Look What You Made Me Do from T Swift’s Reputation. I know every word and my old college roommate and I actually sang it for karaoke in front of the whole school once😅 Tore the roof off the joint btw😏😂

The giant guy also makes me think of the Rockbiter from Neverending Story. They look like big good strong hands, don't they? I couldn't hold onto them, the nothing pulled them right out of my hands, I failed.

You know funny enough I don't think I've ever actually seen a corgi irl lol, and it's not like I wasn't exposed to dogs a lot throughout my life. I mean growing up we had 4 dogs, and when I went to the mall I'd tend to visit the pet shop in it and pet random dogs. I mean what we got now is as best we can figure is a pomchi (Pomeranian and Chihuahua mix) and a most likely boxer and doberman mix.

I just got to see my two corgis this past weekend when I visited home! Two Cardigans, mother and daughter! So as far as the face machine, I'm pretty sure it's some kind of maintenance worker since it seemed to be changing out the orb for a new one, and was working on making the train run. It also said "get back in your seat." As for the Crystal Car, it was kind of redundant to have Tulip realize that she won't get the answers right away and then have her be impatient again the next episode. It's human nature to do that, but it's what she just said not to do, so it was a little ill-timed. My guilty pleasure song would be "Plug In Baby" by Muse. Lastly, for the numbers on her hand: So far I thought it corresponded to how many cars left until she meets her goal, that being the conductor for her. I imagine that whoever boards the Infinity Train has a goal in mind and then gets a number that determines how many cars to go through until they reach it. This was sound logic considering that they go through multiple cars each episode, even if there was the question of why it only changed after a certain number of cars were completed. However, just as Tulip said, every time the Train seems logical, it throws it back in your face. If you notice when Tulip writes in her notebook in the Crystal Car episode, she's written down the cars that they've been through to keep track of them. The Corgi car was only a few cars before the Italy one, and then they went right to the Crystal Car, then at the end, the number decreased by almost 20, disproving my theory. Unless the cars change around or the conductor moves places, it can't be the number of cars left since they didn't travel through that many. So we still don't know what the numbers mean...

Is it just me or does Tulip strike an extreme resemblance to Pepper Ann?(90's babies know) I just keep thinking of her theme song whenever I see her haha.

OK, yeah, this show is already really good, lol. The art is really cool, the humour is SO good, I’m intrigued by the story, and I really like all of the characters. One-One is still probably my favourite (BTW, I think I’ll refer to his two personalities as Positive One and Negative One), but Atticus has shot up there really quickly as well. I love how they made him both dignified and adorable at the same time. The part about him being excited to go outside was great! XD And yeah, that old-timey internet sound when One-One tried to activate the crystal was SO funny! Regarding the number on Tulip’s hand… I’m still thinking it has something to do with her opening up to people. Like… it went down quite a bit when she revealed her “guilty pleasure” song and how she and her parents used to sing it on road trips, and embraced it. As for my guilty pleasure song… Oh, man… It’s one I’m actually REALLY embarrassed to admit I like… but… well… It’s “Barbie Girl”. Goddamnit, I can’t believe I just admitted that, lol. This is probably completely wrong but maybe the number goes down when she gets more in touch with her emotions and/or faces or does things that make her uncomfortable on some level and the train is kinda like a giant lesson for her to get out of her usual patterns. It's just a feeling I have for some reason I'll probably be proven wrong by next episode or something 😏 As for guilty pleasure songs one of mine is Bye Bye Bye by NSYNC 😊 It started with a Scrubs episode where Turk tries to bring it back with his ringtone but now I listen to it for fun every now and then..also gotta love Justin's ramen hair back in the day lol.

These were some really great episodes I just love the different worlds they create inside each carriage they’re so beautifulll😭 Honestly I’m just stumped about what those numbers could mean I couldn’t even guess at this point it seems so random😂 Also OMG no way you love Taylor Swift I’m such a huge fan of hers!!! That woman’s music is just incredible and she just seems to get better and better as time goes on! This gave me a very easy question for this week, do you have a favourite song from Folklore? (Or any of her albums if you didn’t enjoy folklore) I’m really torn between August and Mirrorball atm as both songs just kill me they’re so beautiful and so sweet I just can’t!😭 can’t wait to hear what you think and brilliant reaction as always!!!✨
