I feel like Kurapika is a more of the analyzing person and knows how killua is reserved, not naive like Gon, but is always shy to show his emotions and he caught him there. Killua was sort of flustered because of it. Kurapika really appreciates his friends even if he has a dark past and is doing his best not to slumber into complete darkness.

Doesn't really make any sense, but would certainly be a huge improvement if he just left the entire thing on Patreon instead of feeling the need to cut it up.

It was a step towards accepting his grief for the loss of his clan, instead of letting it consume him completely. And then it was subverted by them not actually being dead, and he has the chance to be consumed again.
