Back again, and chapter 6 is officially underway in the game engine! I swear, every time I start working on the logic side of a new chapter, I have to re-learn how past me organized stuff (and past me was kind of very disorganized & inconsiderate of present me).

New Addition 1: Edited and added choice branches to script

This added around another 500 or so words, and I actually have to add more later. You can die in this chapter, and I have to still write the dialogue for that.

The branch tree looks something like this:

There's actually a third choice later in the chapter, but it's simpler.

New Addition 2: Started adding art into game engine & started working on event logic

Let's get started with the start screen!

Added tags, chapter completed art & chapter 6 button to the start screen.

Shit, ignore that it says "Theo" there, that's a mistake. Anyway, Dr.Barlowe makes a quick return in this chapter...

...as well as the beloved Angel!

Some choices are more sensible than others. Hopefully The Angel doesn't end your playthrough pre-emptively :p

A lot of characters actually make a return in this chapter, now that I think about it, but the main character is definitely Theo <333

Hmm, the player's short hair looks kind of odd here, I'll have to fix that.

I also forgot to draw them kissing before, so I had to go back and do that. Look at these adorable nerds :3

Alright, that's all for this update! I think some good progress was made, and I'm just about ready to tackle the sex scene, which is always the hardest part to get working right because it deals with a lot of animation signals in the script and animated sprites that have to synchronize and look good together and all that stuff.
