Monday Bonus

Year In Review

Finishing up August, I was contacted by a model out of Montana who was on her way to Colorado for a workshop.  She and I had not worked together before, but I had seen some photos of her with my friend Vivian.  It turns out she's a professional dancer in San Jose, California during the mid-winter months and spends most f the summer in Montana where she was raised.  She told me she was heading through Idaho Falls and could spare a couple of hours if I wanted to meet up and go out shooting.  I honestly haven't shot around I...

Bree

Here's a bonus post for you guys on this Thursday.  Bree came out to Nevada and stayed at our house.  She and I went out for a day trip in the desert and shot almost 600 photos.  These were taken in February 2017.  It was reasonably warm, not like this February has been temperature wise.  As you can see, Bree is a very lovely woman.  She came through this February and we had to shoot in studio since the weather was so cold and rainy.  Stay tuned for more from that shoot.  Thank you all for your support...

Year In Review August

Year In Review July Part 2

Year In Review July Part 1

Year In Review - June

So this post finishes up my March sessions and features Ziva, Ciara, Dane, and one of my favorite models Anoush.  I met the Red Bomb Model, aka Dane, on a ExplOregon tour in the Alvord Desert of eastern Oregon.  She is a giant of a model both in size (6 feet tall) and capability. Year In Review March

March was also a very busy month shoot wise.  Jaecey and Marie came through town.  Riona and Veronika were photographed remotely.  That only gets us through the 11th of the month.  There were still a lot of models to go.  Many models were getting itchy feet and traveling both in Europe and the US.  I also had a shoot with a couple of Canadian models.  I hope you enjoy this first post.  There will be a couple of more highlighting my March so stay tuned.

Merrique Remote

So a lot of you ask about remotes and how it's done.  Merrique is an expert at it and we shoot at least once a month.  The first photo shows the setup for one of our sets during the February shoot.  Merrique is standing in front of her glass doors at her home.  You can see the single light we're working with to her right.  It's just a work LED with shutters to focus the light.  We also work with different lights depending on the setup, but this day it was just the single light.  You can see the yellow tint ...

Year In Review More February

February - Part 1

February was a very busy month with in-person and remote shoots.  I shot with some fantastic women and models including Adlee, Rachelle, Elle, Vivian, and Helen.  They were all shot during the first half of the month.  Several more ladies were shot during the second half of the month.  I don't know what was up, but I'm not complaining.  Helen and I were after a Helmut Newton look.  Adlee and I shot out at a new location near where we live.  Rachelle contacted me and asked if I would be interested in a remot...

2022 In Review

And we're off.  We started the year yesterday with Merrique and here are the remaining models I shot with, both remotely and in person in January.  All of them were remote shoots.  We have Aurora, Donna, and Helen in January.  January is typically a slow month because of weather here and in Wyoming.  Aurora was in Amsterdam and Donna and Helen were both in England.  I've shot with both of them quite a bit, and both Helen and Donna are not doing any remote shoots right now.  Helen has some technical issues a...

2022 Year In Review

So what better way to start the year in review?  My first shoot in 2022 was with the lovely St. Merrique.  As you all know she and I go way back together and are continuing to shoot together on a monthly basis until one of us runs out of ideas.  Fat chance of that happening.  She's also quite an accomplished short film maker.  Stay tuned for more from Merrique and all of the other models I shot with in 2022.   

Cheyenne

Here's another posting of the fabulous Cheyenne at Photo Bang Bang (a studio in Las Vegas if you ever need one).  Cheyenne usually shoot outdoors, but it was a little cold outside on this day.  My mantra is, I'm from Wyoming, and if it's too cold for me to take my clothes off, I can't expect the model to.  Cheyenne was very grateful that we didn't try to shoot outside.  I'm sure she would have tried it though.  She's actually named after the city in Wyoming with the same name.  Her dad was a roadie with AC/DC an...

Angel & Ashley

I shot with these two lovely women a month or so ago at Angel's home in England.  Of course it was a remote shoot. Angel and I have worked together several times with outstanding results.  She set very strict boundaries during our first shoot which I complied with of course, but gradually she has loosened up and gotten to trust me.  I don't know why photogs push boundaries.  It only makes it harder to gain trust and doesn't yield good photos IMHO.  This was my first time working with Ashley and she is extremely beaut...

Triple V Tour this summer

I attended a photo tour this past summer over by Mono Lake and Bishop, California.  I was invited by Vivian Cove, a model I've shot with quite a few times and is very popular at the moment.  We were joined by Viribus Femina whom I've shot before in Utah and Venus De Tierra, a friend of Vivians, who I had not worked with before.  We spent 4 days at numerous locations shooting single and multiple models.  I shot literally over a thousand photos over the 4 days at 8 locations I think.  There will definitely be more post...

Wednesday Bonus with Dakota and Floofie

We met up out at Gold Butte and shot together just the three of us.  We had just gotten done with a group workshop with these two and 5 photographers so Dakota was a little bushed.  She was recovering from long haul covid.  We managed to spend about 6 hours out in the desert before Dakota was absolutely tuckered out.  She fell asleep on the way out and slept all the way to Vegas.  Nonetheless we created some great art.  Thanks for your support and stay tuned for my regularly scheduled Wednesday post coming right...
