A full belly keeps the doctor away... or something.
Gotta be honest, I just wanna to draw a really big belly, man. No story or anything behind this one, just a happy cappy. :) Now, one may begin to question how he's gotten this big... but that's a mystery for an other day!
I also did this as an "exercise" I guess. Trying to teach myself to sometimes draw characters or scenes that don't need any deeper context. I always struggle to make individual illustrations like this, because without any specific, already fleshed out ...

Here's a little look behind the scenes on the upcoming chapter 3 of my vore comic, Marve: A Life Consumed!
This chapter turned out to require a lot of perspective work, which has been fun to do! As I've mentioned in an earlier post, I decided midway through chapter 2 that I wanted to draw all my backgrounds in ink myself, as opposed to tracing over a 3D model. This is the central part of this chapter: Marve meeting up with his friends. I always wanted this comic to have slower moments like these, that have effectively no focus on the fetish aspects, and so I thought it made sense to just go all-out on that as early as possible. Start chapter 1 with a bang to show that there will be vore and hot stuff, then slow things to a halt in chapter 2 to show that Marve is a character with a life of his own, totally seperate from his vore streams.

As I'm working on Marve chapter 3, I'm growing really insecure about my vore bellies. So I'm trying to practice and hone in on how exactly I like to draw them!
What I've done is I've looked at reference images of fat guys, sketched them out as they are, and then attempted to put prey inside - for lack of a better phrase. I've found that it's a little easier for me to draw a regular belly first, and then figure out how it'd look with prey, as it gives me more of an idea for the changes the belly necessarily must go through to accomodate...

This started out as general practice drawing bellies. But I used reference images of real people, and didn't want to use anyone's likeness without their permission, so I turned them into various animals instead! That way, this could double as a bit of brainstorming for new characters. I think my favourite is the sheep and goat in the bottom left. Perhaps we'll see more of them in future... 👀 Is there anyone here you'd like to see further developed?

Some disperate sketches featuring Marve and some bellies! One thing I really need to practice is BIG bellies. Some real badonkers. Massive dohoonkabhankoloos! A big challenge with vore is the scale of things. Look at your own body, and imagine a person roughly the same size as you, trying to fit within the tiny confines of your belly. Realistically, it's gonna make a serious impact; one that I find quite hard to illustrate with any accuracy or visual satisfaction.

Some years ago, I wanted to design a dragon!
I feel I have a pretty friendly-looking art style, for lack of a better term. I wanted to try making like a cool, tough, intimidating beast! And boy, is that difficult. I also wanted this guy to be mostly feral, but ever so slightly anthro too. And I just can't help adding some fat and a belly!
I never imagined any particular story or anything around this, although it could be cool to try and use some of these in the future.

Bulgy vore bellies are one of my favourite things in the world, but they are so difficult to do well. I've never really been happy with how I draw them, so I make it a point to practice!
I've been experimenting with different leves of cross hatching and defined lines. I like bulges that are slightly distinctly shaped, like you could probably work out what's inside, but it's also behind such a thick layer of organs and fat that the shape gets very obscured as well. The final of Marve's friends: Pål! If you figured out the naming scheme, I'd love to hear it.
Pål's more aloof and slightly meaner personality immediately made me think of badgers for some reason. Plus, I just really like their fur patterns! Their distinct look made designing a badger character simultaniously really easy and really difficult. It was easy to make designs I liked, but hard to find the one that felt right.

I did these around the same time I made the Murray comic. I wanted to try my hand at redesigning his outfit a bit to make it more fashionable or whatever. At which point I had a startling realisation: designing clothes is hard! Who could've guessed?
