I am getting -finally getting- my driver's license, so I've been focusing on test after test this week, but I've still had time to make a bit of progress on it. Will show you more on the patron channel in a couple of days. After that scene, it's back to Shar's training and a couple of new backgrounds. I really enjoyed writing this...

I was sick, not Covid.

Probably the longest sick time of my life. It feels like two weeks, probably less, but you know what I mean. It has dragged out... could it be I'm aging? Who the fuck knows. I didn't do much... even adding the Progress Report tag to this post feels like a betrayal to all I hold dear.

Good news is it wasn't Covid (Who knew regular diseases still dared to attack us? It's a funny old world) and I'm feeling much better now. I'm still coughing, still feeling dumb, still feeling angry but too weak to go rioting... but definitely not burning ...

Progress Report in which I tell you I've been writing

I've been writing!

Yes, the bootleg is real. I mean... you know what I mean. 18 in 1 too. That's a real bargain, that.

So yeah, I wrote a shit ton of notes, filled a lot of pages on two notebooks (one small I carry in my coat's pocket, another medium-sized I keep at home), scribbled in the margins, wrote notes with big exclamation marks next to them (more than a few beginning with: "what if...?"), erased grammar mistakes hoping nobody saw, carefully ripped bits of paper, then threw the rest away... you know. Wow. I did manage to manage Gdrive

There's this neat little feature Google Drive has, in which it REFUSES to delete files. No matter how many times you do delete them and how much you want them gone. It's the best. Awesome.

So I've been trying to bypass that helpful little nugget of joy for 2 days, since I'm restructuring our work folders. Wouldn't do it again, 0/10000 Gold Stars.

Aaanyway. I managed to and to not run of space at the same time (Gdrive is still updating, but I guess if I leave it working during the night?...), so I'll be back on writer duty tomorro...

(Very short) Progress report

Just letting you guys know I'm alive, and what I've been up to.

I have fixed a bunch of art issues (12) that needed addressing, and Aka has been adding little tidbits to 0.05 (combat FX, fixes...) We also have another coder helping us with that pesky Android combat time bar, let's hope he can fix it so it's not so damn slow. Also been playing Trails of Zero like a man possessed. Love it.

Here it is, new tester build. Lots of bugfixes, a few art tweaks and a bit of dialog. Those of you who are testers can find it in the usual place. Changelog :

My kitchen sink decided it was about time to get rid of me by drowning me very slowly (water leaking), so I've been trying to figure out how to fix it all day. Infected derelict starship Captain Newman here with another Progress Report.

We are so tired. The "Hopefully just testing" from the last Progress Report turned out to be a lot of fucking testing, plus untangling a script mess that we thought fixed, plus a lot more. That's why tools like Articy, which track your dialog trees and check for loose ends exist. This is why automated testing tools are a thing. Ren'py so far supports none of those XD Anyway, here's what's been done since last time, these are for both Aka and me:
