Journal | November 4

October was a strange month for booking work, and I'm relatively certain November will be as well. This tends to happen every time I travel south, and as I'm going to be in Florida in December, I've begun receiving the strangest messages on Model Mayhem (a site used for booking work as a freelance model). What a name, right? Implies just the right sorts of things about the freelance modeling world, as if the nature of the work alone didn't already they decided to do so with the word 'mayhem.' Just great.

I was testing out taking portraits the other day, and I'm contemplating setting up a backdrop stand for it actually. Maybe getting different color backdrops in some muted colors as well - blues, greys, greens. Maybe.

Small phone snapshot of an instax of Svala from the other day. I'm currently watching horrible Vice documentaries on youtube and editing digital images of her - then scanning film after that. I'll have a set of her uploaded this afternoon.

Sorry for the lapse in posting! I've been hosting Svala since the 28th (Saturday) and she will be here until this coming Saturday. Tiffany Nacke also has been coming by (and is this afternoon again), and a photographer friend of mine and Svala's, Svetlana Jovanovic, from NYC visited us yesterday in Baltimor...

Back Home - October 28

I finally got back home last night at 1am. I am pretty sick at the moment and am taking DayQuil and NyQuil along with drinking a lot of tea, having cough drops, and resting. I modeled for a model/photographer the other day (Tiffany Nacke) on a rooftop in NYC, and it was cold, raining, and windy. This was not the smartest decision for me as I'm now feeling really terrible. But, the photos are beautiful, so there's that! And she might visit me tomorrow as well.

NYC Day 4

I’ll finally be shooting some patreon stuff in the next few days! I’ve essentially been working a lot and have quite a bit to catch up on now. My week is slowing down a bit though, and I’ll be hosting a really wonderful model next week so I’ll soon have more to share. I snapped this quick photo during a shoot this morning though :)

Currently...

I am currently going through my travel photos and organizing to make the pixieset. And I found a travel photo that is a macro shot of a rotten tomato...I don't really drink alcohol, so I cannot blame this on being drunk.

Just a sad little rotten tomato...I wonder what I was thinking.

Anyway, here's me being a cheeseball with Petunia all shadowy and cranky-like.

Today has been a bit funny. I have been trying to update travel photos, and while traveling I realized I couldn't get the photos to work in my little editing program. So I thought, I will wait until I am home. Then I arrived home a few days ago, settled in, and I've been trying to get them to work. And they won't download off of icloud. So, now I will have to download them onto my computer, and then edit. So, this will take longer.

I also put in print orders today for October, and the print people are on holiday until November 2nd. I generall...

I got busy when traveling and completely forgot to link this! So, here is the small set I promised.

And I'm finally home, so I'll be going through posting new work and doing more photos. I don't travel again until October 20th (NYC), so I'll have plenty of time.

I'm getting on a plane to Houston in about 5 hours and I still haven't packed. I've been very, very bad about uploading travel images, so I'm going to be going through them tonight and hopefully creating a folder later so you can see them finally.

Over the past week, I've basically not done much...I got home from Sacramento and was just tired, and I think I'm still tired.
