When I got back from travelling, I thought I would use that '23 hour light set' to do a full length pic. The result was a render that took...25 hours?!?!? I actually thought the thing had crashed when the timer stopped at 23 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds. Then I worked out that it actually wasn't programmed to measure render time in units of days or more...

So this was done on my computer in Daz Studio 3. I noted a lot of the comments about 'realism' of the IRAY renders so I decided to have a mess about with DS3 to see whether I could create a similar effect. Daz 3/3Delight has light called UberEnvironment2 which is great but just verryyyyy slowwww. Anyhow I put together a new custom light set using the Indirect Lighting function on UE2, with a couple of well placed, weak distant lights. This plus some tweaks to Kat's shaders creates a soft, light box effect.

Making other people's OC's is very hard indeed... and one of the reasons I like the freedom of having my own. I was quite happy with how Sara Philips turned out but it's even more challenging to take on depicting a well-known or even legendary character. This is why I normally stay away from it.

It's taken me three weeks but I finally finished Sara.
Golavus is pretty dedicated to his character and I didn't want to get anything wrong, especially as he's writing an Amanda/Sara crossover CYOA for us right now!
I wanted to make an 'original' Sara, i.e. using models I hadn't used elsewhere and that I don't see other 3D artists using regularly. It's nice to make a character with longer hair. The hoodie is a 'cozy' one that I found and I am sure no-one else is using as it's a real pain to pose.

New character. More to follow. She's the OC of a well-known deviantART writer who is doing an art swap with me. Hopefully he's going to write a new Amanda CYOA set in his OC's town that will have Amanda as the playable character but feature both of them in the story.
You will get to play the CYOA and see the pictures.

Another re-versioning.
I have a little sequence I made with this hairstyle so I just wanted to introduce it first.
One thing about it, I don't think it suits the most skimpy or rebellious outfits... even on this one I had to do up her shirt buttons.
