I have been drawing a LOT. The animation is coming along really great! I've been pretty proud of all I've done for it so far, and just had to share a few images from it.

More and more, I really, really keep thinking this ones gonna be a veritable hotbed for some really spectacular drawings. I want to have the kind of stuff that makes you go "Whoa!" and rewatch that part of the video again.

Helloooohhh Everyone. I can confirm that the animation of this video is coming along! I've done about One minute, Nine seconds. 1:09. That's about 40% of my overall animation on this. This is straight up the first ten seconds of the video. This is how it starts. It was boarded by my friend King! They did about half the storyboards of the whole video, and they're doing pretty much all the colors, so you're gonna see a LOT of their work in the final video.

I've just finished the animatic for the upcoming Mashed video! Here's drawings I did for it that I like. It's REALLY good so far. There are just so many good drawings. Most of the drawings are good, even. This will be a delight to the eyes, I can assure you.

The current plan is to release it June 15th. It's gonna be a fast track to that goal, now! I'm partially hoping we can get at least three animators on this, just so I don't have to kill myself finishing it. I still gotta finish the school semester this month!...

PICTURE PREVIEW: Devils

A couple of devils. I won't provide any context for what they're for. Here is some design work I've done, though. The second image is an initial rough concept I did that kinda breaks down a lot of the inspirations in the designs. I thought of "Axe guitar" and "Hammer pencil" on an airplane ride and thought it was so cool and clever I immediately scribbled them in my phone notes.

PICTURE PREVIEW: Expressions Chart

Since I'm getting extra help boarding and animating the upcoming Dedede short for Mashed, I made a little chart of expressions to use as reference.

The most notable thing I've emphasized is his crown's rim being used as eyebrows. That's something I've often liked in a lot of his designs, how they'll use his crown to give him a slight scowl at the eyes, so I've just pushed it further. I'm hoping to incorporate a wide range of funny expressions for this video.

I've been having fun drawing him a bit bulkier than normal lately, if you've noticed. I think he looks good with a lot of volume like that.

Sonic Clone Chaos Concept Art: The Monsters

From the very first outline, Sonic was going to undergo some sort of radical, terrifying transformation. Here are some concepts with that idea!

These I drew right as I was starting the animatic for part 1. See, there was the giant final boss monster from whom Sonic was to obtain his new power, and that needed to appear in the second shot of the whole thing. I had to figure out what it would look like pretty soon!

March 2023 Sketch Requests

They're here. The sketch requests for the month of March! Hard to believe it's been nearly a year since I started doing these.

As I've announced previously, the prices of sketch requests have gone up! It will now be $5 to request a sketch, and $8 to have it colored. This change is currently in effect for the month of April.

Sonic Clone Chaos: Original Pitch

Below is the original outline I wrote up when first pitching what would become Sonic: Clone Chaos. It had a very different title at first. Every time I revised the story I changed the title. It went from this, to "Sonic's Brothers," to "Sonic's Quinquagintuple Trouble," to "So Many Sonics," to the final title that Mashed devised.

I honestly love making small stuff like this. Wish I had more time for it! After wrapping up on Clone Chaos, though, I had a spare day to churn this one out. When should I make it public? Tomorrow? Saturday??

Hello! I've been really busy at work on the animation for SONIC CLONE CHAOS PART 2. It's supposed to be coming out next month, so I've been extremely busy. Still, I owe you some updates!

YO!!! Haha, OK, so I haven't posted an animation update in a while! Obviously, if you've followed me closely, you know that's because I've been primarily working for Mashed in that time. Well, now that PART 2 of that Mashed video is on its way, I'm actually able to share a few non-spoilery sneak peeks of it!

It may seem crazy, but... it's true. I'm gonna post ANOTHER animation within the next couple days. for real. I'm almost finished with it at the moment, I just need a few more seconds of animation and also a couple backgrounds. That could take til halloween night, who knows. PICTURE PREVIEW: Town background i hate painting backgrounds oh take so much time

That title is of course dramatic for clickbait or whatever. Lol. Well, it's not my favorite thing, painting backgrounds. It's really hot tonight so I sweat through this one. I had to get it done and out of the way so I sat here for like four hours doing it. I made it detailed enough to look good but flat enough to not distract. That's the intent, at least.
