Russian forces made another bridging attempt at the Siverskyi Donets River in an attempt to capture the town of Bilohorivka - again.
It was a complete disaster. Again.
The picture from @infonapalm is low resolution so take the count as very preliminary - another 39 vehicles. Mostly APC/IFV with some trucks, and at least two engineering vehicles. This does not count the lost bridging sections.
If our count is accurate Russian forces have lost 109 pieces of equipment, mostly armor, in 3-1/2 days.

In an attempt to minimize social intelligence on troop movements and suppress insurgent activity, Russia has disabled or severely curtailed cellular access in Luhansk, Kherson, and parts of the Kharkiv Oblasts.

Overnight, Russian forces took control of Rubizhne (Luhansk Oblast) and Vojevodivka. Russian and Ukrainian forces have been trading control of Vojevodivka for almost a week, which has made maintaining the Ground Line of Communication (GLOC - aka supply line) into Rubizhne very challenging.

Earlier today Russian authorities ordered the settlement of Solokhi, Belgorod Oblast evacuated due to a security issue.
Pictures emerged showing a fire, which Russian officials said was "reeds" burning (likely a translation issue, in American English this would be known as a brush or grass fire). Pictures from the area showed one building on fire.

I prefer to have a humble approach, avoiding things like, "ehem, I told you so," and watch other pundits and journalists with more prominent platforms come to the same conclusions we reached days before. (and yes, I do get some pleasure out of saying - Russian forces claimed to have captured Rubihzne, again, and they didn't). If you do some reading among larger news organizations, you will see a lot of declarations. The Russian offensive in eastern Ukraine is somewhere between floundering and over.

Russian forces suffered a catastrophic loss in Bilohorivka, likely leaving a Batallion Tactical Group destroyed. Ukrainian troops were able to regain control of a small area between the settlement and the Siverskyi Donets River.

Northern Kharkiv Counteroffensive
Collapse. That's a strong word, but it is the proper word to describe what has happened north and northeast of Kharkiv in the last 24 hours.

We are seeing a lot of credible reports that the Russian defensive lines from Lyptsi to Rubihzne (Kharkiv) have collapsed. We have confirmation of four settlements northeast of Kharkiv liberated earlier today, but the list is growing. The news isn't all good, there is significant evidence of war crimes in recently liberated Tsyrkuny. There are also reports of Ukrainian reprisals against Russian collaborators in Staryi Saltiv.

We watched the Victory Day celebration in Moscow's Red Square. English speakers, like myself, watched the BBC coverage while our Russian speakers watched the direct coverage. We've compared notes because you can't rely on straight translations. There has been a lot of uncertainty in the May 6 and 7 Situation Reports. We've seen a lot of artillery and MLRS fire, but it has been very challenging to confirm the situation. Earlier today, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, announced on Telegram that the Defense Forces of Ukraine are transitioning to counter-offensive operations in the Kharkiv and Izyum areas.
This is the NASA FIRMS data for the last 24 hours. This is a timed map, so the red squares are fires that were detected by satellites in the 6 to 12 hours. Almost all of this activity is in Russian-controlled areas.

Normally, we wait for better confirmation than what we have, but Pro-Russian accounts on Telegram are in full meltdown over the Ukrainian counteroffensive that started last week north and east of Kharkiv city. The Pentagon has stated Ukrainian forces have advanced up to 40 kilometers from Kharkiv, which adds weight to the reports coming out of Russia.
