Work on the comic begins yet again.

After completing the Volume 1 script over the last couple weeks (yay!), along with tweaking a few past images, I'm ready to start on the next section of the comic. I'll need to get into the groove of things, but here's the first start. 

I always need to detach myself from the drawing part of the comic after finishing what I call a "set" of pages. The last one was a 13 page 3 month burner, so this was a welcome break. Luckily, I don't think this set will be more than 5-6 pages, most for that matter. :D

Faraday Falls

I finally finished a new version of Faraday Falls for the website. 😀

After a long while, I started working on a new Faraday Falls landscape. I'd like to slowly replace a few parts of the website since I need to update some very dated work of mine. Besides, I'd like to show far more of this location than I've ever done. There's a lot to see! (tourism yay!)

This is in a very sketchy phase. Only a couple of hours hammering the idea out.

Chef Kepler

I finished up a page and did this quick sketch of my cat Kepler as a chef. He always watches me above the cabinets when I cook. I've never found a role for him if I were to incorporate him into the comic. This is just a one-off, but who knows... everyone's gotta eat! :D

As some extra teaser stuff for my $5 Patreons, I'm beginning to finish and render the latest pages. It's been quite a haul getting through this set, but hopefully will be finished in a couple weeks. I've done the calculations, and it looks like I'm not only ON schedule... but just a bit AHEAD of schedule! W00t! 

*wipes sweat from forehead* (and cries into a pillow) XD

Archer Sketch

Did a sketch of Archer a few days ago. I haven't drawn him in awhile and wanted to see what I could do, since he'll be making another introduction in a part I'll be working on. He looks a bit younger here. Still experimenting... IT NEVER ENDS!

In Memory of Pixel Nelly Hudson

As if things weren't hard enough losing my last cat Helix at 2 1/2 years old, I lost my other one this week due to Leukemia, starting with anemia (same way Helix died). She was only 4 years old. I’ve now lost both my cats I adopted in NYC in the last 18 months due to anemia and leukemia. At least I got answers this time, which helped me get through this experience a bit easier. Pets are our friends and our family. Even though it can hurt like hell going through these experiences, the time we have them is what makes life worth living. Thanks t...

Site Performance Boost!

It gives me great pleasure to announce a massive performance boost to the Cashmere Sky website. Normally, I’d just leave it at that, but thought I’d indulge on my little adventure into solving this nightmarish headache. I originally purchased an upgraded VPS (Virtual Private Server) to handle site traffic and speed, but noticed there was still some serious performance issues. Considering I’m a front-end web developer as my day job, this was troubling.

Big surprises ahead

I'm working on a new major section of the comic with a one of the biggest story developments of Volume 1. It'll be awhile before it's unveiled (for obvious reasons), but wanted to give a glimpse of the first sketches of these important scenes.
