Hi all,
The symmetric version of the Singularity Deck Third Edition is just about ready to go! As soon as the printing issue I mentioned yesterday (https://www.patreon.com/posts/singularity-deck-72454602) is resolved, I’m going to submit the symmetrical versions of the cards to the printers. The hope (knock on wood) is that both printed versions should be live in October.
For the print and play fans, the files have been uploaded to...

Hi all,
I have some good news regarding the latest proof copies I received of the Singularity Deck Third Edition: The fronts of the cards look great (including the Hourglass Suit).
And some bad news: for some reason the proofs I received had a major problem with the backs of the cards which is holding things up from release.
A bit more on the bad news first, then I'll show off some of the pics from the hourglass suit. As you can see in the photo below, there appears to be two color variations of the card backs. This make...

Thanks everyone for the feedback on the Hourglass suit! I'm working on the final tweaks and should get the proofs ordered soon. Once I receive what should hopefully be the final set of proofs, all of the updated borderless cards will go live on Drive Thru Cards.
In other news, the Multideck Maker: Piecepack layouts and art assets have been added to the Patron Drive Multideck Maker Folder: https://www.patreon.com/posts/huge-thanks-link-28259219<...

Great news, the borderless cards look excellent. Most importantly, the concerns about the color bleeding through to the edge seem to be largely unfounded. Also, the lack of a hard-edged border also makes the cards look much cleaner and any variations in positioning much less noticeable.
There was a minor color variation issue, unrelated the borderless change, that I'm working out with Drive Thru Cards at the moment, but that should hopefully be resolved soon.
For now, I took a bunch of quick cell phone photos. I'll take s...

Hi all,
Here is the latest version of the hourglass/spacetime suit, and I think it's getting pretty close to done. As always, I'd love to hear any thoughts or feedback.
First up are the court cards, including the newest cards the clock tower and omega:

I still need to clean up the placement of some of the sand so it ...

Hi all,
Just a quick update that the proofs for the borderless Singularity Deck have been ordered along with the proofs for the new spirals suit. Drive Thru Cards is still a bit slower than usual so they say it will take between 3 and 5 weeks to show up.
In the meantime, I've updated the tiff files and the print and play PDFs for the Earth and Cosmos suits and added both for the new Spirals suit.
You can find them in the Singularity Games Drive -> Singularity Deck -> Singularity Deck 3.0

Hi all,
Thanks to everyone for the feedback on the spirals suit as its taken shape. I've made a few refinements and cleaned up some alignment issues and such. I think its ready to go, but I wanted to give everyone one last look before I order proofs. Let me know if anyone has any other thoughts. Thanks!

Hi all!
One more post for the day. I think I've come up with a solution for the alpha-omega card question for the spiral suit.
There was a preference for the hex wormhole design, however there was a concern about the fact that it could be hard to tell the two cards apart.
Here is what I'm thinking as a solution:
Go back to the "traditional" format for the alpha-omega pairing found in the Earth and Cosmos sets:
However, instead of depicting the earth as in those sets, go with an image of the moon:...

Given the ideas and potential changes to the Singularity Deck brought up in my previous post, I thought this would be a good time to bring up some other potential ideas for the deck.
I've gotten the request to swap the dice for numbers a few times, so I wanted to explore some options and get feedback.
For this post I'm only showing off white bordered designs to not confound the discussion by adding too many variables. Check out the previous post if you're not sure what I'm referring to.
A bit of background before I dig in...

Hi all,
A patron reached out to me to let me know the Singularity Deck Third Edition cards they received from Drive Thru Cards had some inconsistent printing results, causing a noticeable border variation across the cards. Drive Thru Cards tends to be good about replacing anything that's printed a bit wonky. However, it has made me consider a few options for possibly improving the design long-term and I wanted to get everyone's feedback before we commit to any changes.
First of all, what is the potential problem exactly?...

Hello all of you fine folks,
I've refined the court cards for the wormhole suit and wanted to get some feedback on the alpha/omega cards.
First up is the king, which has a new item: shuffled/cardistry cards.
The queen is pretty similar to what has already been shown off, with a few minor improvements.
The Jack has a few minor modificati...

I've been struggling a bit to figure out what the third court card should be for the hourglass suit. I've previously shown off a Jack depicting an executioner and a King depicting death.
Ben Mdm had an idea that I really loved whereby the courts cards suggested the story of a deposed king: jack would be the executioner, the queen would become the death card, and the king would be a skeleton.
Here are some early variations I'm working on...

I wanted to show off some more in progress cards:

Hi all!
I wanted to announce a few possible changes to the Singularity Games patreon and solicit feedback before anything fully goes into effect.
I'm planning to formalize specific tiers. This gives me a bit more control over things (for example like making a commercial 3D printing license tier) and I think it will help things grow and hopefully become a bit more sustainable in terms of the work/time invested.
All of that said, if anyone has any feedback, please do let me know. I'm truly grateful for everyone who has suppor...

Thanks to everyone for responding to the project poll earlier this month! It really did help me direct my focus.
Most of the interest seemed to be on finishing the spiral and hourglass suits for the Singularity Deck, so that's where I've been putting my attention so far this month.
Conceptually, the spirals/wormhole suit was always supposed to blend in alongside the other suits, while also functioning as a bit of a wild suit that bridged the Earth and Cosmos suits.
The way this was achieved in the second edition was by usin...

Hi all!
I'm going to put the patreon on pause for May as I catch up on some stuff behind the scenes and some outside work projects. All this means is that you won't be charged for May. Nothing needs to be done on your end.
In meantime I wanted to show off a preview of something I've been working on for the last few months: a third edition of the magnetic boards.

Some of the biggest changes are the fact that it can be printed in two...

Hi all,
Just a quick update on the Singularity Piecepack and some future directions:
The Singularity Piecepack 2 - Cosmos Print and Play files have been added to the patron drive. Patron Drive ->Singularity Piecepack\Singularity Piecepack 2
The Game Crafter is a bit backed up, so the proofs wont arrive for about a month. Once I get a look at them, I'll let everyone know as soon as the Cosmos Piecepack is ready to be picked up.
For the future directions of the Piecepack my plan is to create an updated version using ...

I'm excited to say that I got the new Singularity Deck proofs from Drive Thru Cards and they look fantastic!

There is always a bit of a risk when going from digital files to the printed version, but I'm thrilled to say I couldn't be happier! After working on the third edition off and on for nearly three years it's a great feeling holding the cards in my hand.
It will probably be a few more months before things are ready for the off...

Hi everyone!
I'm excited to show off the full rough draft of the Third Edition of the Singularity Deck.
First of all a huge thanks for everyone who has supported this project along the way!
Before I send things off for a test print, I want to start getting more eyes on the design.
Here are a few areas of concern for me, but I would love whatever your thoughts and feedback are:
1. Overall, does the artwork feel cohesive and consistent?
2. Do any cards clash or stand out (in a negative way)?

I'm at the design stage for the 3rd edition of the Singularity Deck where most of the work is refinement and detail oriented. Since much of the progress has been incremental it makes it tough to show off anything too flashy at the moment. That said, I wanted to share some more in progress artwork for some of the cards.
