8 Things I Love About Song Stems

A few stems for this one. The first track in the video is an old track I made as vlogging music for any 2012 YouTubers who cared to use it. Since today's video is kind of vloggy, it made sense to put it in.

The second is a bass track that I played as I watched the video, playing in time to what was happening in the video. I don't usually do live scoring for the videos, but this was pretty fun.

and just for fun... I added in the track we used during filming of the next video :)

Unreleased metal tune

In this case, a song stem would be a paper roll. And they wouldn't let us leave the museum with them...

So a nearly finished demo mix of a new metal tune. Going to do a music video/lesson on it early next year. The working title for now is "Super Octaves" because it flies around different octaves on the fretboard. I'll find a better name later...

Unreleased song called Gibraltar? (Saxophone song stems post)

This week's bonus is another early look at a new track, Gibraltar. 
Well that's at least the first thing that came to mind when I was putting gibberish over the song to come up with a melody. Not sure what to do with the second half vocal wise. I feel like I need another vocalist for that.

New song demo Stems

Since there are no stems for today's video, here's a very very rough demo track of a new song I made. I have no idea if I'll ever finish it or release it but it was really fulfilling to make. I decided to get in the booth and just play what I wanted to and not have anything hold me back. Like whether or not people would like it or if it's too weird.

This song is based around the back and forth between contentment and anxiety a lot of us are feeling around covid-19. Or that's my reasoning for feeling this way recently.
