Eltharion Pt. 1 Armour

A new series starting today, with Eltharion from the Lumineth range. In this weeks video you have painting white armour and gold. The model will also allow me to cover painting cloaks with no airbrush and some fun effects on the swords. Ballsaurus Part 3

Hey Cultists!

Not too much to say on this one, it’s the final part! Mostly a lot of repetition but actually the orange transformed in this video. I really like the outcome and it shows the impact how detail changes the overall look of a piece. Lots of small brush strokes made the piece. The colours are the same as previous videos so you can refer to the paint list there!

Next week we will have some GW miniatures in the tutorials. After seeing those new Kangaroos I think it has to be Lumineth.....

Here is part 2 for painting the Lucas Pina Squig bust. I think there are some real key elements in this one you can apply to tons of miniatures. Lucas Pina Squig Bust Video

Pleased to present to you this tutorial on the Lucas Pina Goblin Bust. I have painted it in a more natural way, jumping between different elements. I begin the orange, but not really got into it yet. The Leather is finished, but the skin only at 80%. I hope this is enjoyable to watch as a more real painting process. Painting Skin with a Strong Light Source

The Lion final part: Base

Here we are; the final Lion Video! I really enjoyed painting this figure, more than I anticipated. I also enjoyed getting better at filming. At the beginning I found it very difficult painting on camera, but now getting used to t and improving is almost as satisfying as the painting. Better camera has been great too and I look forward to continually working on improving the standard of these tutorials.

The Lion Part 5: Cloak

Final part of painting the Lion. The main focus is the cloak. I used the airbrush but honesty I think I would have preferred to use just the brush for more visible Brush strokes. So it’s up to you what you go for, but you are not at a disadvantage if you don’t own an airbrush.

So a slight delay on this video because……I lost most of the footage I filmed! But fear not, this has resulted in a positive outcome! So this prompted me to get my new camera, which on a first test is a vast improvement. I lost the first couple stages of painting the black, so I re-filmed the process on the backpack with the new camera. Hope you can see it is sharper and brighter. It’s the weekend people! Hope you have some painting lined up. With the gold finished, I shall be starting the black and silver for your tutorials next week!

I am really happy with the recipe for this gold; because I feel it is easier to replicate and others I have seen and done in the past myself. You don’t need all of the colours to produce a great result like this, but it makes it easier with no mixing. This means you can adjust the approach to your skill level/confidence.
