As soon as I got into the new warehouse I realized it could be good for ad hoc videos, so I decided to give that a shot. The result was a lot better than I expected and I hope you feel the same.
I do need to improve the lighting, get a better mic setup, a better monitor for my camera rig, and many other things, but it's a solid start.
TL;DR: I have rented a second piece of office space and I am very much hoping it will help improve the quality of my videos. in order to explain this, I spent 25 minutes complaining and showing off bits and pieces of my collection.
two things I forgot to mention: the new space is 15 degrees cooler than the other one at all times, so NEXT summer, instead of doing a bunch of crappy videos from home, I hope to do a bunch of so-so videos from the 'warehouse.'

I think a few different people asked for this so I figured I might as well share it - this is the roughcut of the Microsoft Response Point video I mentioned in my last post. It's missing a ton of on screen graphics, but nothing that really hurts the narrative (you can fill it in with your imagination easily) and it's not like the narrative doesn't have bigger problems anyway.

Relief at last. I've been having a really tough time making progress on anything - the summer refuses to leave and the studio remains incredibly hot, so I only managed to get in there on an unseasonably cool day (which was still sweltering, just tolerable) last week, and it'll be probably another 4-5 days before I can turn that into a finished video... and suddenly I looked up and it had been over two weeks since I released anything. So, here's a little guy who's not so little, but definitely has some neat surprises inside. Enjoy!

This video changed a lot from how it started. I bought the machine solely to get a minorly interesting piece of hardware; then I found out the hard drive was intact; then I tried to demo it for it's intended purpose only to find out that none of that functionality still worked; then I reshot the whole thing because I didn't like the pacing, only to find out that some of the functionality resurrected itself.
