NMM Breast plate

Ben Komets post NMM Breast plate from patreon

Hi Folks,
here is a little Video on our Goblins chest armor.
I wanted to go for a rather cartoony look, so we are painting the chest plate using a little more saturated colors then often. We are even adding a bit of green to simulate the environment reflection. This little addition of green helps to tie the vibrant green skin on and the reflective colorful nmm parts.
Have fun watching and thanks for your support!

Green Skin

Ben Komets post Green Skin from patreon

Hey Folks,

here is the latest video here straight from the desk!

Today we will discover what it takes to get a green skin tone painted, that is full of life and would make every goblin shroom mother proud.

Every skin tone needs color variation to come to life, if you work with a strongly saturated base color for your goblin or monster skin it can be hard to have a smooth color transition especially when it comes to complementary colors, like here in our case where we want to have a color transition from green to red. <...

How to do Nurgle Effects

Ben Komets post How to do Nurgle Effects from patreon

Hey Folks,
here is the final chapter of our Nurgle Bust.
I had a lot of fun with a corrupted sd card this month.. so I had to find a little work-around to be able to share the last bits that create the final nurgle touches.
As it's a little like the cherry on top it is not something you want to miss out..
Luckily I had a couple of Nurgle skin sample cubes that I had sculpted for my Nurgle Skin care class for this years canceled Adepticon..
I am sorry I was not able to show the effects on the bust itself, but the cubes are a s...

weathering with tea - or what waits ouside the box

Ben Komets post weathering with tea - or what waits ouside the box from patreon

This a small sum-up video that underlines the most important lection of a project, here our Nurgle Bust.
And it's not about something technical, it is more about staying open-eyed
It´s important to sometimes try out strange things to create something new and fresh.

Without accidents and trial and error, there would be no progress, no new discoveries!

So it's inevitable to get behind the desk and grab a brush, it's strange to say that in a video post... but not all questions can be answered in a video. You have to make you...

Ben Komets post How to paint a salamanders primaris space marine in about 2h from patreon

Hey Folks, here is the supreme tabletop level space marine video! It took me round about 2 hours to paint the little guy. It was quite refreshing to to something fast inbetween! Regarding the choice of colors, i know some are a bit uncommon but they compliment each other very well. The reaper paint dries super dull, the pure yellow from Ammo is quite glossy and the schminke aero color permanent green is right i the middle. The approach works for sure also with other brands of paint, just make sure you take in account how glossy you want the ...
