Pride 2022 (WIP)

shakam post Pride 2022 (WIP) from patreon

Working on this new illustration for Pride month. When it's done I'll post it publicly on Twitter. Still have to light and shade it.

Also working on the June Patreon exclusive which I think is going to be Eli visiting a water-park, when done it'll be available to the Purple and Green tiers.

Also I've continued touching up pages on the WoodPort 101 comic, getting into the pages in Professor Summer's office, so it's been interesting working on the lighting and shading a bit differently than the scenes in the auditor...

TfWP - 004 - (WIP)

shakam post TfWP - 004 - (WIP) from patreon

I've been frustrated with a lack of content lately. Life has been providing roadblocks. My digital pen I use for drawing decided to break yesterday, so I did a little work on this but was getting frustrated trying to hold it together. A new pen is coming soon, and I'll finish this and post the end result, but just so you guys aren't waiting that long, here's the work in progress version.

This comic is based on a tik-tok trend I saw a while back, where at wedding parties they would catch people at the beginning of the night and cut to...

Eli Gets a Pet... mine.

shakam post Eli Gets a Pet... mine. from patreon

Somber not-sexy post here for a moment.
In real life I've had a little fur-ball I've lived with for the last little while. A long-haired chihuahua named Buddy. He's been the cute little guy who always welcomes me home from work and makes me feel companionship when I need it. I adopted him as an elderly dog from the Humane Society and knew my time with him may be limited. Sadly it's proving to be more limited than I anticipated. My dog has lymphoma now and a heart condition and will pass on soon. It's been rough to deal with and has made ...

Requesting assistance with the Adventures comic!

shakam post Requesting assistance with the Adventures comic! from patreon

Feedback time guys! Please let me know your thoughts in the comments! I have two questions to answer:

#1: Regarding the second page, should i have it as it is now where the page is divvied up into each of the three before/after images, or should I have this page be entirely the executive example? then have the barber example on its own page, and so on?
#2: What should the third example be? I think the best one would be something where sex is already understood to be related to the job so that it has a comedic effect. But I'm open ...

Adventures of Eli McKaber - Page 19 (WIP)

shakam post Adventures of Eli McKaber - Page 19 (WIP) from patreon

Taking a quick break from finalizing pages on WoodPort 101 to start sketching out what happens after. In this page of the connecting story, Eli runs into Daniel, (Character from the Pressure Point story), or more like Daniel runs into the orgy that's ongoing outside Professor Summer's office. Turns out not everyone likes the fact that sex is so easy to come by in WoodPort, The concept of restraint is not something Eli is used to seeing from the new people in his orbit, and he wants to know more about this new guy.

New Hair for Eli?

Debating changing Eli's haircut into something resembling a real hairstyle. Option B was my initial attempt at that but it also looks a little like something you'd see on the Jersey Shore. The last one is another attempt but it doesn't really resemble his old hair at all, but that doesn't make it bad. What do you think? A? B? C? or something entirely different? Let me know in the comments. Whatever I go with would only take place well after this com...

Eli McKaber - 2022

shakam post Eli McKaber - 2022 from patreon

I like to have a reference picture for Eli that I can point to, the last one I made 2 years ago so I thought it was time to update. Might change his expression, but I like the overall look here. Whenever I post this on twitter I might do a progression thing where people can vote on which piece of clothing to remove from the original picture. That'll be a ways off though, want to get the comic book all the way released first. Obviously Patreon gets early access to it now. ;)

shakam post WoodPort 101 is publishing! from patreon

Updates on WoodPort 101. I've got the first few pages done and the next several close to complete, so I'm releasing the first 4 pages over the next few days on Twitter. I also mocked up a quick "Previously on" graphic as a quick reminder of where we are in the story. Also I officially named the larger story "Adventures of Eli McKaber" rather than the original working title of "Connections"
Lots of developments and I'm happy to share them with you all here. Thank you all who have been supportive of this crazy little world we're building. ...

shakam post Tales from WoodPort - 003 - Easter Sunday Best from patreon

When your religious friend invites you to Sunday Mass he may need to lay down some basics first.

This one's a little more restrained in terms of NSFW stuff, but I feel like while I was already being blasphemous I could should probably avoid being overtly explicit with Jesus. Hope you enjoy it all the same! See you next month for the raunchy stuff ;)

The comic is now entirely drawn and colored, the final step is to light and shade each page. As I do that I plan to release the comic one page at a time on Twitter. You all here on Patreon of course will get access to the full story as I wrap up the last parts, hopefully finished well in advance of the release on Twitter. Once it's totally completed here I'll repost it again in full. Check it out so far here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/60368403

For the first time, every one of the 22 pages in this comic book has color on it, Eli and Professor Summer are fully filled in for the entire story, some supporting characters are also colored, and the story is slowly starting to look more like its final form. Here are the next steps:

- Draw the final panel of the comic with multiple background characters interacting with one anothe...

I just wanted to share this with all the tiers of Patreon so they have a good frame of reference. This is what one of the exclusive works looks like that $5 and up Patrons have access to. Cult Names

I'm working on the WoodPort 101 comic, and if you've read it you might know that there's a cult that is said to have placed a spell on the bay area, right now I have the name as "Fraternal Arborist Prophets" which is meant to be a bit of a joke name, as the acronym spells out "fap". But it's also a bit wordy and doesn't flow well, so I'm debating changing it to something else. While designing the robes for the cult I came up with the alternate name ...

Don't you hate it when your festive kilt gets stuck on a passing table when you've got your arms full of beer platters? Maybe this nice guy at the next table will help you out...

Plan is, if I can get it done, I'm going to have the cock throbbing in the foreground, and also animate some slight background movement, animate the character breathing (chest rise and fall) and have each of his arms shift while he looks around the bar. Then I'll color, light and cell shade the whole thing if all goes as planned. If I struggle this one might...

shakam post Tales from WoodPort - 001 - Club Rules from patreon

I'm thinking for my exclusive Patreon pieces, they'll likely be more like this, individual stories or drawings outside of the main story I'm telling with my characters, just to give a little something extra to the patrons who are going the extra distance. Thanks gain for your support and encouragement! Hope you enjoy the art! Let me know your thoughts and feedback.

I obviously went simpler on aspects of this to not spend too much time on details that wouldn't add a lot to the finished product. I'm also curious if people prefer the sh...

- First, I've now finished line work on the first half of the WoodPort 101 comic book. Check it out here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/eli-mckaber-in-60368403
Line work is the most time-consuming portion of this process, so it's a good sign that I'm moving through it pretty steadily. To break it up I might try to start coloring the first few pages.
