NYCC 2022

For the first time in eight years, I'll be returning to New York Comic Con, from Thursday, October 6th-Sunday, October 9th. I am extremely excited to be returning, and hope to see some of you there! I'll have prints, buttons, photos, and original art, and will do my best to take commissions, too!

I appreciate that most readers probably really enjoy Bruce's schpiel here, but in hindsight, I'm not the biggest fan. I think the spirit of it works, but if I were to write it now, I think it would "sound" significantly different. For starters, I feel like this is probably the best looking installment of JL8 to this point. I'm starting to figure out how I want the characters and world to look, and I'm getting a little more courageous with the layouts. An Update

Good afternoon, everyone.

I'm incredibly sorry it's been so long since we've spoken. Life got a little out of hand over the last few months, and I let my work ethic slide a bit, and when that happens, posting updates online always tends to be the first thing to take a back seat. For that, I apologize.

Moving forward, I'm going to make an effort to start scheduling posts, rather than producing them the day-of. I think that'll help me stay more on track, and provide you all with a more reliable experience.

Back from HeroesCon!

Hey there, everyone!

Sorry I've been quiet for a few weeks. Prepping for--and recovering from--my first convention in three years really took it out of me.

For those of you who made it out, it was great seeing you either again or for the first time! For those who didn't, I hope our paths will cross one day when the world has become a bit more normal again. Hopefully that'll be true at some point.

An argument can be made that this strip demonstrates the primary thesis of JL8: that Bruce Wayne's origin is indeed tragic, and to be treated with respect.

Admittedly, I think that at best that Thesis B to a Thesis A that I don't properly know how to describe, other than I do think JL8 is more about the group as a unit than Bruce as a singular character, but let's keep talking about Thesis B.

I'll be completely honest: I'm having a tough time thinking about what to say for this one in the wake of the Uvalde shooting. Just kind of weird that the next comic for commentary would be one that tangentially tackles the trauma of gun violence.
