Status Update September

Hows Chapter 3 coming along?

I'd say it is probably 75% done. Currently making the final big scene of the chapter!

I'm gonna try my best to squeeze it out before the end of September, but as you might or might not know, this is something I'm making in my weekends and evenings, alongside a having a "normal job". So sometimes that gets in the way of game dev.

At the rate the Patreon is going I might actually be able to go down to part time in the future though, which would be quite cool.

Optional Art replacer? (Poll)

If I made an optional art pack with a "painted/comic" look, would anyone use it? 

Check pics below & vote here (at the bottom of the post) :)

Basically you'd just extract it into the game folder if you wanted to use it. 

My reasoning is that not everyone might like the current 2d/3d mix. And making an optional art pack is easy peasy. Could probably let the computer work overnight and bam, done.

Goblin Layer 0.27 Release

Goblin Layer 0.26 release!

It's a new update :) Changelog is attached to this post. Will post on discord as well.

I decided split up the releases into smaller updates.

So instead of one big monthly release, there can be smaller ones more often. This helps my patreon, which in turn helps me spend more time working on the game!

If you prefer to play through more content at once, you can wait until 0.3 and ignore ...

Goal! - & Status update going into September

We've hit the 200 dollar goal! Honestly didn't think it would go this fast! I am truly grateful for your support!

I will able to spend a bit of money on plugins and other enhancements  for the game now! 

The next chapter of the game 0.3 will introduce more than one new character, including two new party members and a proper shortstack :) As well as bringing in some gameplay improvements. The overall resolution of the game will also be increased slightly.

Dialogue/Story in these kind of games

I'm making this poll mainly of out curiosity. So leaving it open for all patrons.

Basically, I've played a game or three from f95 and other places. i can be pretty impatient sometimes. A lot of the time I end up skipping though the dialogue to get to the 'good part'. So I thought it would it would be interesting to see how other people approach them

Goblin Layer 0.25 Release

0.25 is up! Its got some important fixes, so I'm releasing it for everyone at the same time. The "real" update will be in September.

Chapter 3 in progress

Well 0.2 is out, so its onto 0.3 a.k.a shortstack edition.

The plan is to introduce two new party members and a new goblin dungeon to clear. 

As well as some new events with the townspeople! I didn't have time to add as much content to them as I wanted, since I got  a bit carried away with the Goblin scene. So might actually release a 0.25 with updated events for them before 0.3. We'll see. But as usual I'm setting my deadline for the next release about a month from now on.

Status Update Chapter 2

The 'main quest' scene ended up being a bit longer than excepted, but it's coming along nicely. Almost done. Then there's just bunch of smaller stuff left to finish. Shouldn't be too long until 0,2!

Chapter Two in progress

Chapter one was released on F95 July 24, and since I am going for monthly releases for patreons, I've set august 24 as the latest deadline. But hopefully it will done earlier than that. Depends a bit on how much bullshit I need to deal with at work.

Plans:

Goblin Layer & priestess deals with another nest and a new goblin.

Some new scenes/developments will happen with the townspeople.

Since I already got some patreon bucks, I'm gonna spend some of them on a plugin for the game. It will allow you to pause/skip anima...

Going forward

I've been experimenting a lot with my graphics set up, to find a spicy sweet spot between stylized and normal 3d art. 

I'm not sure I've found that sweet spot just yet, so hopefully look forward to some improvments in the art department going forward. 

There will probably be a poll or two in future, since it'd be interesting to hear your opnions on the matter.

Hello & welcome to the patreon page! I figured in this first nice post I'll post some brief info on the games and development!
