Another crazy week is almost over. This one was slightly better as it was broken into two parts by one day of public holidays. Still keeping fingers crossed for everything to work out and my mom being able to make the rehabilitation doctor appointment I managed to get her scheduled for for the next Tuesday. Hopefully the doctor will be able to write her a recommendation for some sort of an active follow-up treatment she needs. Well... Hope for the b...

I really don't like to do that, but this week I called in few favors and I managed to get a rehabilitation doctor appointment scheduled for my Mom. Hopefully the COVID situation will permit it to take place... Fingers crossed.

Sad Update

Few days ago, in the middle of the night I got a call from a close family relative telling me that my... Hmm... Kind of aunt's (well... a daughter of my grandmother's sister) husband has committed suicide.

He was a cancer patient going through all the required medical checkups to be put on a waiting list for a liver-transplant. Personally I think that, with all that is happening around the country in the medical system due to the COVID-19, he lost the sight of the light at the end of the tunnel and decided to deal with it this way.

Awake

Oh... You are finally awake! That is wonderful news as I was starting to worry that I would have to start "without" you. Well... as you can feel, I took the liberty to do some prep work so the fact that you are not able to speak or move on your own is perfectly fine. Don't worry though. Once I'm finished with you, nobody will expect you to do any of that anyway... Ever again!

What a day

Did you ever had a day when you thought that getting up from bed in the morning was generally a bad idea?

Well... I'm having one such day today.

I woke up in the morning only to realize, that one of the 8TB drives in my RAID5 array has failed during the night and the array is in a degraded mode. During the afternoon I was able to purchase a new drive and replace the failed one. So the array is now slowly rebuilding and 330 EUR is missing from my wallet...

I turned on the news only to find out that Paparazzi managed to catch...

Reversible?!

Ohh... But the contract you signed didn't say anything about the transformation you signed up for to be reversible... Trust me! Because apparently unlike you, I did read it. Besides, it is way too late for second thoughts and way too late for you, or anyone else, to do anything about it...

Just a quick render I started before I went to cook me some lunch as I visited my home to check on things...

Status Update

So, after a week, I managed to swing by my home to check on things as I'm staying with my mother these days and helping her out with anything as, after the spine surgery she had last week, she is still very much in need of help.

Doctors claim that the surgery was a success, yet my mother says that at the moment, she feels worse than before the procedure. Hopefully it is just a temporary state and given more time to heal things get better.

There may be a catch in that as due to the COVID-19 and the numbers of diagnosed cases break...

I think I won't make it

As I have mentioned in the previous update, these days I'm facing a lot of issues caused by family medical emergencies where I'm now living temporarily with my parents and taking care of my mother who is basically immobile due to a degenerative syndrome that caused two of her lumbar vertebrae to crack.

I think that is is safe to say that the COVID-19 pandemics is to blame here as due to the COVID related complete country lockdown she was unable to receive the planned medical treatment as all hospitals in the country were shutdown for a...

Sorry for posting this page so late. I thought I have it scheduled and apparently it was not.

I'm at home with my ill mother these days who due to her spine injury is mostly immobile, so I'm taking care of her. She should go for a surgery next week. That is if the hospitals stay open for procedures and won't shut down due to COVID just as it happened during the spring.
