I forgot the middle step, sorry!  You can see I changed my mind about that bottom panel, I didnt have anything planned beyond 'theyre all together and a bit flirty' haha, that'll teach me to plan so poorly.

I wish I had done a better sketch on this one, usually I can blag it, but this one was more tricky than I thought! I had hoped to have it all be one panel, but there's only so much you can warp perspective and I am not that good at doing it convincingly :P

Almas line at the end might change...but I wanted to get a page out today haha. Do you guys think that it's affirming, or dismissive?

Intended vibes are: 'Don't worry about it, nobody will even think abt it because its a costume.' but I think it could be read as like. 'You'll be wearing it as a costume, so it's ok to wear a dress.' (obviously not...what Alma would think.)

It needs to have 'costume' in it to carr...

U can see the ugly street views I traced over (vaguely) here. Sometimes it doesn't seem worth it to invent a whole new street/etc when one already exists and does the job better. (plus all my fun environment brains went into the last pages)

I wish I had noticed that trellis, it's cute! I basically just drew out the shapes of houses and the floor, and then didnt look at the ref again... but I wish I gotten the trellis in :'O.

Gave up on that last panel and copied the reference more closely in the end...

Lots of muddling about with colour on this, I struggle with more true-to-life colours, tending to make them too dull! I found that blue and shoved it everywhere I could  to make it more exciting :P. I'd love to just spend some time doing a bunch of environment studies, but allocating time for stuff like that is hard XD

we've reached the end of another chapter! I'll be taking the usual 2-3 week break to sort my stuff out for the next chapter (I've actually already got a lot of it in order, so hopefully will be back sooner!)

Everything else will carry on as normal, skechbooks and any process posts will still be posted :)

Speaking of sketchbooks- Januarys will be out in the next couple of days, I'm mostly working on the hourly comics today (which are deceptively time consuming haha) but I'm working on finishing up the $5 tier sb comic too ;P
