What is a Veterans Stand Down Event?
Veterans Stand Down events are volunteer fueled resource fairs available only to Veterans and their families. The VA checks eligibility electronically at the event.
Spokane is in her 6th year with this important event, generally held at Salvation Army Headquarters. North Idaho has her own Stand Down event, held usually at North Idaho College.
Veterans Stand Down events were started in 1969 by Vietnam Veterans for all Veterans. Read more on this video.
