Still busy at work on badges, I'd say I'm just about halfway through this batch. I'm giving myself a 3 week deadline to finish the rest. Let's see if I can do it!

Special Blizzcon event item!

I wanted to give you guys a sneak peek at a pin I hope to have made for Blizzcon. :)

I've already made this design as a keychain, which I hope to have available soon (*spoiler* after my patreon box peeps get theirs!) but I wanted to do something a little special to have at Blizzcon with me. ^^

I'm not officially doing pre-orders for these and they're going to be a bit hush hush until a few days before the event. Ideally the only way to get one is by purchasing it at my table during Con Before the Storm, or finding me at the pin trading ...

Badge Art 091017

Still moving along with badges! I'm doing fairly well with my little schedule so far. Tonight I'm planning to get a couple more cleaned up and put flat colors on. :)

Sketch commission for Ghost! Bit delayed, I wish I had time to toss in a 3rd one, but I'm really tempted to make an animated version with the colors shifting. :D

And a WIP of a Blizzcon badge! I'm waiting for approval so far, so its not finished, but probably 90% there. :)

September is art crunch time for me, as I'll be getting the rest of the Blizzcon badges done. My goal is to have them all done by October 1st.. that way...

I had a bit of a scare this week with my cat, she's lost a lot of weight recently and has suddenly stopped eating. I was really worried it might be kidney failure, which my dog died to in 2015. Doodle dump for August

A few doodles that I've kept in a psd file this month! I haven't had too much time to do anything for myself lately besides these. A couple of the doodles I  actually turned into mini watercolor paintings while I was at the convention last weekend though! I may put them up on Etsy soon, I just need to take some proper photos of them. :)

The 3 at the bottom are some mini enamel pin ideas, though I'm not sure when I'll get to them! I've always really loved the WoW Succubus, so I might do a little mini pin featuring one at some point. :>...

Apologies for the radio silence over the past week!

I attended my first anime convention as a vendor this past weekend. Unfortunately, it didn't go great for me - I basically broke even just barely making my table cost and expenses back. I'm going to have to rethink my plan of action and try to do more work to appeal to a larger audience. (most of my art is Warcraft related, so there wasn't much interest in it since its an anime focused con) I got a lot of compliments though, and I think my prices were in line with everyone else's.. ...

In other news, I've been slowly working on badges and kickstarter rewards! 

For my Kickstarter, I'm just waiting to hear back about some sticker sheets. I'm unsure at this point if I'll be able to include them, but as soon as that's sorted I'll be able to launch! I'm aiming for the 15th. I've got a couple other graphics to make as well, but I should be able to get those done quickly.

Blizzcon badge Group #2 thumbnails

Man, the past two weeks have been busy for me! I meant to get to these last week, but with packing Patreon mail, my kickstarter stuff, and just general life and work, I didn't get around to these until a few days ago.

These are all the thumbnails so far for Batch #2! Very quick and rough sketches to capture the pose. I'm hoping to spend the better part of this month and next focusing on badges (and my kickstarter!) 

There are a bit more badges in this group than the last, since I wanted to try and get to as many people as possible....

Kickstarter art assets!

A peek at some of the graphics and art I've been working on! I'm almost done creating all the graphics. 

I wanted to get some small postcards printed soon to send with Etsy orders and hand out at conventions. Probably just a small run of them as a test print situation. Ideally I'll use the same art and template to create a "thank you" card to include with backer rewards.

I went ahead and used the same art to create a new backing card for the pins, and spruced up the sticker sheet design I had posted previously! Its all coming toget...

Starting to work on some graphics and promo materials for my Kickstarter! This is a bit of a work in progress, but ideally I want to try and include stickersheets for backers. I may also include these in the Patreon mail tier, though I don't have an eta on them just yet. :) Possibly for September!

I'm setting a date on my Kickstarter for August 15th, so hopefully I'll be able to get everything done in time. I finally got a quote back from my supplier, and getting all the pins, backstamps, and shipping costs its around $1,000. Add in costs for...

Mermaid Pins Update

Changed the lineart just a bit! She was a bit too wide, so I tamed the hair down a little and made some more adjustments. :) 

Also picked out the Pantone colors! I think they're a tad off on a computer screen, but Photoshop's Pantone swatches aren't 100% accurate. Skin tones are a bit tricky. If I go too dark they look off.. and there aren't many light colors available. I'm pretty happy with my choices though.

Next step is to gather quotes for them from my supplier, and then start working on promo materials for the Kickstarter. :D<...

Mermaid enamel pins - redo

I decided I wasn't super happy with the mermaid design for my upcoming Kickstarter.. so I redid her (or them, I guess)!

While I may need to make some slight adjustments to the new pin, I'm much happier with it. I also finally got a physical copy of a pantone guide to play with, so color matching should be much easier now!

 I'm going to try and spend more time on planning the Kickstarter this month, so I hope to get some promo materials and graphics done for it soon. :)

With Light There is Hope

I've been messing around with this on and off for the past couple months, and I'm finally at a point where I just kind of want to be done with it.

I wanted to keep it a bit painterly and loose, though there are areas I'd like to go back in and fix. I sort of prematurely put a texture overlay on the entire painting and accidentally merged it, so trying to go back in and paint over certain areas became a little problematic. Ah well, live and learn! :) 

For September's print, I think I'll put up a poll with ideas that you guys can vot...

Badge Update: Thalee!

This week has been pretty busy for me. I've been spending a lot of my free time cleaning and trying to get our spare room prepped and turned into an office.  Yesterday I took a trip to Ikea (which is about 2 hours away) and picked up the furniture I needed. All that's left is to clear out some old furniture and build the new items. Then the fun part comes.. decorating!

I had a pretty slow start art-wise this week. I may have burnt myself out a tad, so I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. When this happens, I tend to focus my energy ...

Marina (Splatoon 2) sketch

Just a doodle! I'd love to make this into a mini print for next month, depending on how much time I have. She's such a cutie! I've never played Splatoon (or even have a WiiU/Switch), but the character designs really make me want to try it out.

I kind of put this on hold due to the other commissions and projects I have going on right now, but I spent a tiny bit of time this morning on this again.

Portrait step by step WIP

I'm almost done with the current badge I'm working on, and I thought it might be a good idea to go over my process a little. :) I don't use this process for everything I do, but it is a simple way to do things. Technically, I'm still not done with this and there are a few more things I need to do - so consider this a work in progress. :D

Mini Ysera for Ghost

Ghost asked me to surprise him for his sketch commission this month - sooo I defaulted to another mini Ysera. 

I managed to record about 75% of this - I goofed a bit and forgot to restart the recording after an afk break though. I'll see if I can render the video and upload it for you guys soon. :)

Llothien Prowler

New Keychain previews!

Hoping to get these made soon. :) I wanted to have a couple designs that would appeal to more people since I'll be tabling at an Anime convention in August.

I may offer you guys the ability to order them via my tictail shop, but I'll have limited quantities. I'd like to keep most of them for the conventions, but afterwards, I'll list the leftovers on Etsy. ^^
